Amy Schmidt, RN, OCN, ONN-CG, CNP

Amy Schmidt is an Oncology nurse specializing in the needs and treatment of head and neck cancer patients. She took a special interest in cancer care after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2009. Later, Amy and her family moved to the Fargo-Moorhead area where she was able to continue her passion for Oncology at Roger Maris Cancer Center. She continues to care for cancer patients now as a Nurse Practitioner. Amy’s family has been personally impacted by cancer and this drives her passion for equal access to quality care at all stages of the cancer journey from diagnosis to rehabilitation, survivorship, and end of life.
Amy loves to music, traveling, and spending time at the lakes with her husband Mark and their 3 kids.

Alicia Terrell, MPA

Co-Founder

Alicia Terrell is a stay-home mother to three busy children in Fargo, ND. After earning her degree in political science from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT she continued her education at Indiana University-Bloomington. She received her Masters in Public Administration from IU's School of Public and Environmental Affairs with concentrations in Public Financial Management, Public Policy Analysis and Local Government Management. Currently, she is involved in her church's local women's organization that focuses on assisting women both with physical and spiritual needs. She has also developed a desire to serve head and neck cancer patients of the area through the Dakota Head and Neck Cancer Foundation. These patients have become close to her family's heart as Alicia and her children learn more about the successes and struggles of these individuals through her husband's work.

Andrew Terrell, MD

Co-Founder

Dr. Andrew Terrell is a head and neck surgeon who works for Sanford Health in Fargo, North Dakota. His practice is centered on caring for patients who suffer from head and neck cancer. Andrew has worked in the Fargo-Moorhead community for the past three years and looks forward to caring for patients in the region for many years to come. He has been across the country through his educational years earning a BA from Brigham Young University in Utah, followed by receiving his medical doctorate from Indiana University. Andrew completed an ear, nose, and throat residency at West Virginia University and a subsequent fellowship in head and neck cancer at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He is passionate about providing access to the best care possible and to forward this cause has worked to start Head and Neck Cancer Foundation.
Andrew has a wife and three children, enjoys time outdoors, pheasant hunting, and working on his Jeep.
